Welcome!

This place is for you, the users of the A+nyWhere Learning System, A+ LearningLink, and A+ Classroom. It is meant to be a place where users can meet, exchange ideas, share resources, talk to each other, ask questions, brag on what works, and tell stories of successes with kids. Faculty from the home offices of A+ will be part of the community, available to answer questions and make their own contributions.

There are variety of forums with general topics about A+LS. There are also special interest groups for correctional education, alternative education, and special education. As we grow, new groups will be added as the discussions grow larger and more people participate.

The A+Community of Practice is built in Moodle, a course management platform. So, "course" is the name of most every destination where activities, discussions, and resources are located. Look to the panels on the left side of this web page for links to the "courses" that have topics you would like to join.

New Members

If this is your first time in the Community, click on the "create a new account" button and set yourself up as a Community member. "Create a new account is located just below the "login" button. The system will send you an e-mail message to which you must reply for confirmation. This procedure is to prevent spammers from automatically enrolling and cluttering our Community.

Even if you have an account with A+LS or A+ University,

you need to sign up to become a member of A+Talk

If you do not receive the conformation e-mail right away, please check your junk mail or spam filter.

If you choose not to become a member, as a guest, you will be able to view this home page to see just a glimpse of what the A+ Community of Practice is about.

July 9, 2011 - All Forums Now Open!
by Tom Trautman - Saturday, July 9 2011, 11:23 AM

Greetings to all members of the A+ Community of Practice!

We now have nearly 250 members in our community, and the resources continue to grow. Our hope as a community is that we support each other in new and creative ways to use A+ with our students.

I have noticed, as your community moderator, that many of our members have not been able to go into many of the forums. The reason is that each forum requires members to enroll. Enrollment is simple, just click on the link to request enrollment. It is instant and automatic for members. The reason for forum enrollment is to keep our community discussions just for members. Who are the members? The members are A+LS users from all over the country who have signed up.

To make it easy for all our current members, I have taken the liberty to set all of you up in each and every forum. Check out all of the resources that are available to you here in the A+ Community Practice.

If you are a new member, create your account and enroll yourself in as many forums as you like. If you need help, write me a note and will be glad to help get you set up as a member of the A+ Community of Practice!
